Rand Paul — vouchers

We understand that Rand Paul is now advocating federally funded education vouchers. He ignores constitutional limits on the scope of the federal government, and panders to those who would like to believe that there is such a thing as a free lunch — not only free, but one that will remain unencumbered by the heavy hand of federal regulation.

Does he think he will gain votes by abandoning his principles, or did he have no principles from the beginning?

Amongst those who are paid by the taxpayers, Rand Paul may indeed be the best hope we have, but the bar is depressingly low.
